Our third ride without a bridle. We are just starting Parelli Natural Horsemanship, Level Three. It's a long way from perfect, especially at the canter, but it feels SO good to ride without a bridle again after so many years-- thank you Pat Parelli, and thank you, Tucker.

RS Luna was bred and born on my farm in 2005, and went to live with her new owner after weaning. This fall, she and her herdmate came back to stay with me for a few days while her owner was out of state for a riding clinic. While Luna was here, she met her yearling 3/4 sibling, RS El Alcazaar, and the two of them really seemed to hit it off.
Palomino Andalusian/Arabian filly, age 11 hours, goes out into the big wide world with her mother for the first time. I'm keeping this precious girl, but I have a yearling sibling of this filly available for sale. Contact jwelch@centurytel.ne t for more info.
RS Night Lightning is a 3 yo Friesian/Arabian cross gelding. He was born on the property and has known nothing but natural horsemanship since his first minutes of life.
He was started gently in harness last winter, then allowed to be an adolescent in the pasture for another six months.
This is his first ride-- it's all about the level of trust; his trust of me, and my trust of him.
Not only are chickens delicious, they also make great garbage disposals (for some things, anyway).
The pasture raised chicks enjoy a slice of watermelon rind.
Offered for sale: 2006 Palomino Andalusian/Arabian gelding, RS El Alcazaar. Registered Half Arabian, eligible for IALHA; paperwork in hand.
RS El Alcazaar, or 'Caz', as he is affectionately known, is available now for $5000 firm.

At Deer Run Stables, we began a project this spring to dissociate ourselves from cruel factory farm production models by supplying all of our own meat.
Here are our first flock of pastured chickens, kept safe in a large, portable cage.
I know what my chickens are eating.
