Demo of controlling ArKaos from a simple theater style lighting desk. It seems like MIDI control, doesn't require lot of DMX channels and makes easier than any other media server. However for more advanced show and to get the best of ArKaos VJ DMX from a good lighting desk the fixture mode is advised.
GrandVJ can be controlled either with a MIDI input or with a ReWire compatible MIDI sequencer (Ableton Live, Cubase, Sonar, Pro Tools, Logic Audio and more)
3 min intro before each projection at the 4th Dubai International Film Festival 2007 (Madinat Arena, Jumeira). Visuals were displayed through ArKaos VJ DMX across 26 ShowLED Animation backdrops creating a 88m wide x 12m high surface.
Demonstration of ArKaos VJ with LED Mapper (DMX output) that drives Traxon panels through e:Cue butlers (the LED Mapper can also send ArtNet). Thanks to e:Cue team for this nice demo !
GrandVJ is the new ArKaos real-time video software for VJs, clubs, parties and more. The successor of ArKaos VJ 3 comes with lot of improvement and a new graphic engine and user interface. It will read all your movies and get the best of your Mac or PC !
Demo version available on www.arkaos.net
This was an installation we did for a training in our office: software getting the audio input, in automatic mode, with simple movies in sync with beat matching, waveform effects...
Mixer mode is nice for slow mixer or advanced VJs, it allows more complex and powerful programming. It really allows you to customize your VJ performance and let you drive GrandVJ with your favorite MIDI controller (or computer keyboard) in a very creative way ! Enjoy !
Synth mode is similar to ArKaos VJ 3: when you trigger a video layer (visual / effect or both), it is stacked on top of the other video layers unless you have setup a specific priority to the triggered cell (background, no priority or forward). Very efficient for live improvisation.
A Cartoon Effect made by a composition of different effects in Quebec. Driven from a lighting desk, using a few video layers. The picture comes from a Sony DV Camera.
